Francis X. Lucid, of Milltown, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at St. Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was 80.
Born in Girardville, PA, he lived in New Brunswick before moving to Milltown 54 years ago.
Mr. Lucid was a heavy equipment operator for Operating Engineers Local # 825 in South Brunswick, for 35 yeras, retiring in 1992. He served in the US Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict.
He was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, Milltown.
Surviving is his wife of 60 years, Jane (Slover) Lucid; his sons Edward, and his wife Donna, of Milltown, and Francis X. , Jr. and his wife Colleen of Perrinceville; his daughters Deborah and her husband James Hom of Wall Twp., and Barbara Boaz of Edison; his brother Joseph Lucid of Spring Hill, FL and his sister Catherine Watters of Somerset; and 5 grandchildren Allison, Caitlin, & Caroline McKenna, and Sara & Matthew Lucid.
Services will be Monday, December 28, 2009 at 8:45 am at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St-at Riva Ave, Milltown. A 9:30 am Mass will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, Milltown. Entombment at Holy Cross Burial Park, East Brunswick. Friends and relatives may call on Sunday, 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to either the American Cancer Society , www.Cancer.org or American Parkinson's Disease Association , www.apdaparkinson.org |
