Malta Maltese Recine, formerly of North Brunswick, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital, Athens, GA.  She was 80.
 
Born in Hackensack, NJ, she lived in New Brunswick and North Brunswick  most of her life, before moving to Commerce, GA ,  3 years ago.
 
For 25 years, Mrs. Recine was a corrections officer for the Middlesex County Department of Corrections, before retiring in 1988.
 
She's predeceased by her son Nicholas P. Recine (d. 1974) and granddaughter Crystal Katko.  Surviving is her husband Nicola Recine; her son John Recine PhD of Lititz, PA, her daughters Brenda Katko and Regina Recine  both of Commerce, GA; her brothers Frank Maltese of North Brunswick and Joseph Maltese of Flemington, and her sister Frances Maltese of North Brunswick; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
 
Friends and relatives may call on  Thursday February 25 2010, 2:00 - 6:00 pm at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St-at Riva Ave., Milltown.  A Blessing will be held during the visitation at  5:30 pm.   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family
